Ordering TRNSYS, the TESS Libraries, and TRNSYSLite

The Basic TRNSYS 16 Package

When you purchase TRNSYS, whether a new purchase or an upgrade, you will receive the following:
  • The Simulation Studio – a graphical front-end that houses all aspects of the TRNSYS simulation procedure.
  • TRNEdit - a specialized solution for turning your simulation into a stand alone, distributable application.
  • TRNBuild - a graphical input program for describing multizone buildings.
  • TRNSpred - a spreadsheet/graphing tool for post-processing.
  • FORTRAN source code for all* components used by TRNSYS.
  • One complete set of printed TRNSYS reference and tutorial manuals (one 10 cm binder and 5 spiral bound manuals).
  • Electronic versions of all TRNSYS reference and tutorial materials 
  • Technical support from TESS for as long as you own TRNSYS. Limited support for previous versions is available.
  • Free online updates to the TRNSYS package.
  • Subscription to the TRNSYS email group for information and sharing of ideas.
* two proprietary features exist in the multi zone building model, these are for active layers and internal windows, users receive all non proprietary multizone building source code.

TRNSYS Pricing

The current price structure offered by TESS is shown in the table below. The educational discount is available to any qualifying institute of learning. Non-profit and/or governmental organizations do not qualify for the educational discount unless they also perform traditional educational functions. Please contact us for more information if you have specific questions about pricing. In order to keep shipping costs as low as possible, we normally we ship via standard airmail for both domestic and international orders. If you would like us to use a different carrier, we would be happy to do so. In either case, please contact us for a shipping quotation.

COMIS is a bulk air flow modeling tool that was originally developed at the Lawrence Berkeley National Labs in Berkeley CA. While freely available, no front end and little support is offered. In 2006, the TRNSYS Studio interface developer (CSTB) modified their TRNSYS Studio so that it functions also as an interface for COMIS. We are pleased to offer this powerful package as an add-on to TRNSYS. There is no difference in the COMIS price between commercial and educational licenses. Order Processing

TESS is able to ship orders once payment or a valid purchase order is received. Once TESS receives payment or a purchase order, the order is shipped within the next business week. We use standard airmail for all orders within the US and Federal Express for international orders. We are also able to ship via other carriers if you so desire. However, to use another carrier we would ask that you contact us for a revised shipping quotation prior to ordering.
